When August Göhring took up his position as a modeller at Nymphenburg in 1914
With a height of 28 centimetres and being a free-standing figure
the matt black surface accentuates the detailed figure particularly well
The 10 cm high baby elephant is one of the manufactory's most successful models
Lalage | Commedia dell Arte Couture Edition | Dominique Sirop Maus nails and sawsThe employment of Franz Anton Bustelli in November 1754 turned out to be a tremendous stroke of luck for the manufactory. The artistic highlight of his body of work are, without a doubt, his sixteen characters from the Commedia dell'Arte. With these creations he depicts tense and humorous relationships. Each of these figures not only shows the role they play through their posture, but also make corresponding statements with their gestures.
